Munka Studio is looking for an Artist in Residence to complement our studio and gallery space in Lewiston, Maine. The Artist in Residence will gain unlimited access to Munka Studio, as well as a personal workspace for their art-making.

The ideal Artist in Residence will possess the following:

•  A passion for and commitment to art, and an interest in sharing that art

• A consistent and established art practice

• A willingness to support and promote the gallery and its events

• Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills, organization, and attention to detail

• Experience collaborating with other artists and promoting art events 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create and display one artwork for each of Munka Studio’s shows 

• Promote gallery shows and art events on social media and in the community

• Serve as a liaison between the gallery and local artists 

• Support the gallery in its outreach efforts to new artists
